HSM "Seth" Resnik is an award-winning screenwriter working in Los Angeles & London.
A graduate of USC's School of Cinematic Arts (Stark Producing Program), Seth's first feature script was awarded a Nicholl Fellowship by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, and was a selected project at the Sundance Independent Producers Conference. His first student film, F__ho_se, was nominated for a Student Academy Award.

In addition to his MFA in film, Seth holds a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School (Law Review) and a dual-B.A. in Russian Studies & Economics from Colgate University (magna cum laude, phi beta kappa). Thereafter, he worked as a producer of aerial theater (AirRealistic) before turning to the cinematic arts. Seth has also trained and worked with members of the United States military & intelligence community.
Seth grew up in Washington D.C. and Leuven, Belgium. He volunteers as an LA County Superior Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children. Seth has traveled and worked in more than ninety countries, speaks Russian, French & Polish, is a licensed boat captain & scuba diver, loves photography and bop-era jazz, and enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
Seth is a member of Writer's Guild of America (West) & Writer's Guild of Great Britain.
- ONCE UPON A TIME IN RUSSIA, an historical drama based on Pulitzer-Prize-winning David Remnick's Resurrection, is in development at Gaumont Television (Narcos, Lupin, Hannibal). David Permut (Hacksaw Ridge, Face/Off) is producing.
- LANCELOT, based on Giles Christian's bestselling novel, is in development at Gaumont Television (Narcos, Lupin, Hannibal) with showrunner Jason Horwitch (House of Cards, Luke Cage, Echo 3) & producer Lloyd Levin (Watchmen, Hellboy, Boogie Nights). Barbara Eder (Barbarians) is attached to direct.
- BERLIN STATION is a modern-day spy thriller set at the CIA's eponymous station, airing on Epix, produced by Paramount TV.
- PANOPTICON, a police-noir thriller for the surveillance age, is in development at Ridley Scott's ScottFree (UK) & Sonar Entertainment. Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall, Billions) is attached to direct.
- ZIGGURAT, a modern-day Tower of Babel thriller, is in development at Red Arrow Studios International (Bosch) & Endor Productions (Deep State).
- THE SOVEREIGN WILD, a Game-0f-Thrones-style drama about Europe's turbulent 18th century through the eyes of Catherine the Great, commissioned by Charlize Theron's Denver & Delilah Productions & Goldenpeak.
- THE LIMIT, a returning series for the Sundance Channel based on Michael Cannell’s critically-acclaimed non-fiction book about Grand Prix racing in 1960s postwar Europe. Endor Productions & Patrick Dempsey are producers.

- YOU WILL HEAR THUNDER is a film adaptation of AD Miller's Booker Prize-nominated novel "Snowdrops."
- OCEANUS REX, a 3D action-thriller set in the Cretaceous era, was written on assignment for National Geographic Feature Films, in consultation with the Scripps Institute of Oceanography.
- BIRTHRIGHT, an ensemble drama set in modern Israel, was written on assignment for award-winning director Eytan Fox (“Walk on Water,” “The Bubble”).
